Karina Van Brunt

Karina Van Brunt, LCSW is a bilingual private clinician and School Social Worker with the New York City Department of Education, with trauma-focused experience spanning over 15 years. She has specialized in trauma-informed care, providing therapeutic services to children, families, and school communities impacted by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse, immigration trauma, and many other forms of trauma. In addition to direct clinical work, Karina has coordinated and facilitated training and workshops for educators, first responders, and multidisciplinary staff since 2009 integrating evidence-based strategies and strengths-based, culturally responsive lens to support professionals working with trauma-exposed populations.
